Shila's Testimony
After growing up an athiest who spent most of her time drinking and shopping, Shila found herself in an identity crisis after having her daughter and dealing with postpartum.
It was 10 days into a devotional that she never intended to read that Shila met the Lord (well He met her, right where she was at) and assured her who she was. She was a child of the Most High King and all He asked of her was that she turn from her old ways of doing things and look towards Him.
One might think that since she found the Lord, her life turned around and everything was perfect, but oh the contrary. She met the Lord but wasn't sure how to follow Him yet and was still attached to her earthly vices. She ended up divorcing her husband and moving states away with their daughter to be closer to family.
She then got sober and had a falling out with her family which landed her all alone as a single mom in a new town where she had zero support.
Her and her ex only spoke by email and did not even see each other in person for two years. During that time the Lord sent a church of godly women to rally around her and build her relationship with the Lord. He refined her and worked on her heart daily until He led her to reconcile with her ex-husband and they re-married and moved to Nevada where they reside today.
God's work is never done and He turns all things for good. He is leading her to attend bible and leadership school with her church where she can become certified, equipped, and confident in leading others on their walk with the Lord.
Shila enjoys reading, writing poetry and inspirational books, as well as relaxing with her newest puzzle at nights.
